Yemaya is the gender and fisheries newsletter of the International Collective in Support of Fishworkers (ICSF). It is published three times a year. Since Yemaya was launched in 1999, it has created a worldwide following of faithful readers and the release of every issue is a welcome event. We particularly welcome the release of the latest Yemaya (#65), which is a special issue on Women and Labour.
The articles in this special issue are drawn from the presentations and discussions at the webinar, ‘Women Work in Fisheries, Too!’, held on 29 November 2021. The organisers of the webinar – USAID SUFIA LCD, Gender in Aquaculture and Fisheries Section (GAFS) of the Asian Fisheries Society, Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries and Food Security (CTI-CFF), ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute and Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT) – are very grateful to ICSF for this opportunity to collect the articles and the overview of the webinar in Yemaya # 65.
